I'm a licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of Artisan Clinical Associates in Naperville, IL. In 2012, I discovered writing was the thing I never knew I always wanted to do, so I began blogging at drkellyflanagan.com, where I write about how, in an increasingly fractured world, we can deepen our connection to ourselves, our people, and our passions. My writing has been featured in Reader’s Digest and on The Huffington Post and, in 2014, a letter I wrote to my daughter led to our appearance on the TODAY Show. In March 2017, Zondervan published my first full-length book—Loveable: Embracing What Is Truest About You, So You Can Truly Embrace Your Life—and it debuted as the #1 New Release in Interpersonal Relations on Amazon. I'm married to another clinical psychologist named Kelly. I know, I know. Together, we have three kids who are in ninth, fifth, and third grade. We live just far enough outside of Chicago to slow down a little bit.
In Loveable, Kelly Flanagan artfully weaves spirituality, psychology, and personal narrative into a compelling invitation to believe the often unbelievable: each and every one of us is deeply beloved. Wise and encouraging, honest and inspirational, Loveable is a handbook for how to be human.
